Introduction

Our athletic program at Pacific Baptist School seeks to provide an avenue for our students to harness school spirit, teamwork, and Christian sportsmanship. We encourage all our students at PBS to participate in our athletic program. Our athletic program continues to carry out the goals of our school through athletic competition. Many of our athletes have gone on to be outstanding citizens within our community and around the world. We have former athletes that our Pastors, Preachers, Missionaries, Teachers, Principals, Police Officers, Nurses, Business Owners, and Entrepreneurs. We strive to use athletics to teach life lessons to better prepare our students for the “real world.”

Football

Our flag football team has competed in CBAL for the last nine years. Our flag football program was a great addition to our school in 2012. It has allowed more participation for male students. The team traveled to Oregon in 2016 for our school’s first-ever out-of-state football tournament. Joshua Esposito has coached the team since 2012. Below is the information for our football program.

Their Summer practice schedule is as follows: Practice begins on Monday, June 27 at Cherry Park from 1:00 to 3:00. Football practice will be held on June 27, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 15, and August 31.
Their Fall (September & October) practice schedule is as follows: Every Monday & Wednesday at Cherry Park from 1:00 – 3:00

Fee of $100 must be turned in to the finance office by August 21

Basketball

Our basketball program began in the early ‘90s. It has seen much success throughout the years. Our basketball teams have traveled to play in tournaments in Sacramento, Washington State, New Mexico, North Carolina, Kentucky, Las Vegas, Indiana, and numerous parts of Southern California. Both our JV and Varsity teams compete in CBAL for league play while scheduling a few non-league games throughout the season. Our basketball teams are coached by Timothy Esposito and assisted by Daniel Esposito. Both have a combined total of over 30 years of coaching youth basketball. Below is the information for our basketball program.

Their Summer practice schedule is as follows: Practice begins on Wednesday, June 19 at Church from 1:00 to 3:00. Basketball practice will be held on June 29, July 6 (Scrimmage at Lighthouse Baptist of La Verne), July 20, July 27, and August 3.
Their Winter (November, December, January, February) practice schedule is as follows: Every Monday & Wednesday at Dominguez Park from 1:00 – 3:00

Basketball Fee of $150 must be turned in to the finance office by October 1

Volleyball

Our volleyball program currently has a JV (7th-10th) and Varsity (9th-12th) team. Our Varsity team has seen its greatest success within the last two years winning over 20 games while losing only 2 in the same period. The JV team began only two years ago and is used as an opportunity for the younger girls to begin early in the program. Allison Ramirez coaches the JV team and Jaz Esposito coaches the Varsity team. Below is the information for our girl's volleyball program.
