Class Information:

  1. Homework will be given each week and will be from the chapter that we are discussing that week. They will be due the next day unless told otherwise.
  2. A test is given each week over the material that was discussed in class. Each test will be given every Friday unless told otherwise.
  3. Book reports will be from the different books that are required reading for class and approved by Bro. Esposito. They will be due before each semester ends unless told otherwise.
  4. All students will be required to keep a class notebook that has all homework assignments, tests, spelling word lists and book reports. There will be a notebook check each month unless told otherwise.
  5. All students are expected to come to class to learn the English language, improve their reading and writing skills and help master grammar skills in their everyday life.
  6. Please make sure that you bring the right supplies (mechanical pencil, paper and textbook) that are needed for class each day.
  7. There will be no misbehavior from students at any time in class while Bro. Esposito is teaching.
  8. All rules from school handbook will be enforced at all times.
  9. Any missed work must be made up within one week. If it is not made up within one week, it will be counted as a 0%

Syllabus Procedures

1. Homework Assignments

All homework will be turned in on the day that it is due. Once it has been completed, it will be checked for completion and effort. When it is given back to the student, it must be kept in their class notebook for the rest of the school year.

2. Tests

All tests will be over each chapter that is taught. Each test will be graded by a certain percentage and inputted into the grade book. Tests will be over the different chapters that have been discussed.

3. Book Reports

There will be two book reports for class this year. We will also be having each student read other books and write small paragraphs from what they have learned. There will be details for the two book reports that are part of your class grading scale.

4. Class Notebook

Each student will be required to have a notebook for class. You will be keeping all notes given, any assignments and tests in there for record keeping purposes. There will be notebook checks each month.
