Class Information:

  1. Assignments will be given each week and will be from the chapter that we are discussing that week. They will be due every Monday unless told otherwise.
  2. Section reviews are also assigned after reading the chapter that is being discussed each week. They will be due the following school day unless told otherwise.
  3. A test is given each week over the material that was discussed in class. Each test will be given every Friday unless told otherwise.
  4. Term papers will be on a certain subject from the U.S. History book or an assigned subject that is given by Bro. Esposito. They will be due before the semester ends unless told otherwise.
  5. All students will be required to keep a class notebook that has all class notes, section reviews, tests and any extra material that is given in class. There will be a notebook check each month unless told otherwise.
  6. All students are expected to come to class to learn the history of our nation and appreciate the American heritage that has been given to them.
  7. Please make sure that you bring the right supplies (mechanical pencil, paper and textbook) that are needed for class each day.
  8. There will be no misbehavior from students at any time in class while Bro. Esposito is teaching.
  9. All rules from school handbook will be enforced at all times.
  10. Any missed work must be made up within one week. If it is not made up within one week, it will be counted as a 0%.

Syllabus Procedures

1. Assignments

All homework will be turned in on the day that it is due. Once it has been completed, it will be checked for completion and effort. When it is given back to the student, it must be kept in their class notebook for the rest of the school year.

2. Section and Chapter Reviews

There are reviews in each chapter over what was read each day. These reviews will be done toward the end of class and is due the next day. On the chapter reviews, you will write out some of the terms and it will be turned in with the review.

3. Tests

All tests will be over each chapter that is taught. Each test will be graded by a certain percentage and count against them. Tests will be over the different chapters that have been discussed.

4. Term Papers

There will be a report on a certain subject each semester. These papers will be due on a certain date. There will be no copying and pasting from other resources. You must have listed from where you got your information for this report.

5. Class Notebook

Each student will be required to have a notebook for class. You will be keeping all notes given, any assignments and tests in there for record keeping purposes. There will be notebook checks each month.
